GED

The General Education Development (GED) Test aligns with both state and national academic standards. These assessments prioritize critical analysis, information processing, creative thinking, and problem-solving skills. The content of these tests encompasses both academic and technical skills essential for entering the workforce and pursuing higher education.
FSAS offers in-person test preparation in addition to FREE vouchers for practice tests and online voucher tests based on student performance.
If you are interested, follow these steps to become a student at FSAS:
STEP 1
Complete the online registration as follows:
Register as a student on myged.com
Choose ONLY 1 FSAS Orientation Date
STEP 2
Attend scheduled Orientation (1 hour):
Orientation begins promptly at 9:00 AM for daytime classes and 5:00 PM for evening classes. Late students will need to reschedule for another session.
At orientation, students learn about the policies, procedures, and structure of the program and decide if it is the right fit for them at this time.
STEP 3
Attend an assigned GED Class ( 8 hours over the course of 1 or 2 weeks):
Class begins promptly at 10:00 AM for daytime classes and 6:00 PM for evening classes.
This is an in-person class that is mandatory.
Once students complete the 8-10 hours of class, they will meet with the teacher to schedule a CASAS Evaluation which places students in a Skills or GED Program.
After the assessment students should meet with the counselor to review their schedule.
