Certified Nursing Assistant

This well-recognized program with a highly successful pass rate for CNA certification is a 250- hour course that teaches basic nursing care and includes comprehensive classroom instruction (6 weeks) and supervised clinical training (5 weeks) in local Long Term Care Facilities. This course is approved by the California Department of Public Health.

Continuing Education Units

All classes meet from 5 pm - 9 pm in the FSAS Library. Each session qualifies for 4 CEUs.

This program is a 12-week dynamic course with a total of 144 hours of didactic instruction. There will be field trips to the hospital where students will be able to apply the concepts learned from the class. They will be exposed to areas of actual work for hands-on training and return demonstration. Students must score 80% or better on the final examination to receive a Certificate of Completion.
