If a student qualified as McKinney-Vento, the guardian/accompanied youth must be presented with a McKinney-Vento affidavit. If an affidavit is signed, the student needs to be flagged in Aeries under the Special Programs field as "homeless" (code 191). The "enter" date is the date the parent signed the affidavit. The "exit" date is the last day of the school year. *If the guardian declines to sign the affidavit, make. note on the Housing Questionnaire and do not further pursue the completion of an affidavit.

Please send a copy of the McKinney-Vento affidavit to the Family Resource Center (FRC@fsusd.org) and maintain a copy in the student's cume folder.
