We are excited to welcome our wonderful students and families to a new school year at Rolling Hills. To ensure a smooth start, we need your cooperation with our Back to School information.

Critical First Day of School Information for RedHawk Parents**

Dear Wonderful RedHawk Parents,

We are thrilled to announce that school starts on **Wednesday, August 14th**, and we eagerly await the return of all our RedHawks.

**Please take note of the following essential information for the first day of school:**

1. **Arrival Preparations:** Anticipate traffic delays on the first day and plan to leave home early. If you intend to walk your student inside, please do not park in our parking lots, bus lane, or main drop-off/pick-up driveway. Instead, park in the neighborhood and be mindful not to obstruct traffic or residents' driveways.

2. **Parent Access on Campus (First Day Only):** Parents may accompany their students onto campus on the first day but are discouraged from entering the classrooms due to overcrowding. Please meet the teacher at the classroom door, drop off supplies, and wish your student a wonderful first day. After the first day, parents will no longer be allowed to walk students to class.

3. **Breakfast:** Free breakfast for all students begins at 7:25 am in the cafeteria, including on the first day.

4. **School Gates:** The gates will open at 7:50 am on the first day and at the same time every subsequent school day.

5. **Classroom Placements:** Sent directly to families via private email on 8/13/2024. If you don't receive an email with your student's class placement, contact the main office at 707-399-9566. On the first day of school, look for school staff with clipboards in front of the school, they will be able to give you the name and room number of your child's teacher.

6. **TK Students (First Day):** Parents will walk their TK students directly to their classrooms using the main entrance.

7. **Kindergarten (First Day):** Parents will accompany their students to meet their teachers in the Kindergarten playground at the front of the school. Please avoid parking in the bus lane and plan for traffic delays.

8. **First Grade (First Day):** Parents will walk their students directly to their classrooms using the main entrance.

9. **Grades 2 - 5 (First Day):** Students and parents will enter through the main entrance, proceed to the playground at the back of the school, and "walk the track" if not eating breakfast. Look for cones and large signs with teachers' names, line up accordingly, and join the welcome ceremony. Parents can then walk with the class to the classroom door, say goodbye, and drop off supplies.
