MEET THE GOVERNING BOARD
Dr. Alonso Duarte was elected to the Governing Board in November 2024. Dr. Duarte, a dedicated educator and community leader, has called Suisun City home for the past 25 years. After immigrating from Mexico in 1985, he pursued his academic goals, earning a Master's in Business Administration and a Ph.D. in Human Resources Management.
Currently, Dr. Duarte serves as the Human Resources and Fiscal Director for a local non-profit operating Head Start in Napa, Solano, and Contra Costa counties. Additionally, he is an Accounting professor at Solano Community College, sharing his knowledge and expertise with the next generation of business leaders.
As a proud parent of two FSUSD graduates and a current student, Dr. Duarte is deeply committed to advocating for the needs of families and students within the district.
