FSUSD Annual Library Report 2025

OUR MISSION

A library program fostering curiosity and wonder in all students and empowering our school community to be future ready through information literacy and love of reading.

WE SUPPORT THE DISTRICT LCAP GOALS

Goal 1: High-Quality Instruction Focused on State Standards and College and Career Readiness: The library program’s emphasis on offering diverse, culturally responsive curricula and materials, as well as digital and media literacy lessons, supports this goal. By expanding collections and providing access to texts and research resources, the library is preparing students with essential skills for college and career readiness, especially in media literacy and material evaluation.

Goal 2: Supporting the District’s Social-Emotional Program: The library’s role in offering resources for mental health and social-emotional learning aligns with this goal. Additionally, the library provides a safe space and welcoming environment for all students.

Goal 5: Engaging Families and Community Partners: Partnerships with Solano County Library and community programs like Project LIT book clubs directly connect the library with the community. These efforts engage families and community partners in promoting student success, aligning with the goal of fostering transformative relationships through communication and collaboration.
