Fairfield, CA - Fairfield-Suisun Unified School District (FSUSD) is delighted to announce that two exceptional students, Sachi Bansal, and Aaron Phelps, have been chosen as finalists to premiere their films at the prestigious All-American High School International Film Festival.
Sachi Bansal's entry, "Sad Disco," a captivating Music Video Mix Submission, showcases her unique fusion of music and visuals. Aaron Phelps' documentary, "Slanted Perspectives: My Life with SMA," offers an intimate glimpse into his journey with Spinal Muscular Atrophy. His adept storytelling and genuine empathy have earned him a well-deserved spot among the finalists.
Sachi Bansal and Aaron Phelps make history as the first film students from FSUSD to participate in the All American High School International Film Festival. Joining peers worldwide, they will showcase their films in New York City from October 20 to 23, 2023.
Lynn Larsen, a video production teacher at Rodriguez High School, expressed her immense pride, stating, "Sachi and Aaron have truly demonstrated their dedication and exceptional skills throughout this journey. Their selection as finalists in the All American High School International Film Festival is truly an incredible achievement and both students are very deserving of this honor."
