Fairfield, CA - On Friday, September 1, 2023, Early College High School (ECHS) took a significant step in enhancing the safety and preparedness of its students by hosting a comprehensive Stop-the-Bleed training course. The event, led by Evan Edminster from Kaiser Permanente, witnessed an outstanding turnout as 94 students completed the training, marking the largest participation in ECHS history.
The Stop-the-Bleed program, now in its third iteration at ECHS, is vital initiative aimed at equipping students and staff with the skills and knowledge needed to respond effectively to life-threatening emergency situations involving traumatic bleeding. The program serves as a cornerstone of the school's commitment to the safety and well-being of its students, ensuring they are better prepared to handle serious emergencies both on campus and within the broader community.
ECHS Principal, John Pizzo expressed enthusiasm for the success of the program, stating, "We are delighted to provide this invaluable opportunity to our students and staff!
