Fairfield, CA -  On Thursday morning, Armijo High School welcomed its incoming freshman class with a lively and successful orientation event. Led by the school's ASB and leadership team under the guidance of Casey Towner, ninth-grade students were greeted warmly at the school entrance by Armijo’s dedicated leadership students, setting a positive tone for their high school journey.

Throughout the orientation, freshmen had the opportunity to receive their class schedules, tour the campus, pick up their Chromebooks, and take their ID photos, ensuring they are fully prepared for the first day of school on Wednesday, August 14, 2024.

The event also featured a vibrant setup at the entrance of the library, complete with tables, games, music, and prizes. Various school groups, including sports teams, theater, and clubs, hosted tables where students could sign up and learn more about the many extracurricular activities available at Armijo. This engaging atmosphere allowed students to connect with their peers and explore the diverse opportunities that await them.

The success of the orientation is largely attributed to the dedication of Armijo High School's teachers and staff members, who generously volunteered their time to support the event and ensure everything ran smoothly.

"We are incredibly thankful to our Armijo High School community for coming together to create such a successful and fun 9th grade orientation. The event was a true testament to the strength of our school spirit and the bright future ahead for our newest students. Go Royals!" said Principal Matthew Powell.
