Fairfield, CA - With the start of the school year, students across Fairfield-Suisun Unified School District are not just back in class but also taking full advantage of our newly launched after-school programs. These programs, designed to offer academic support, enrichment activities, and a safe environment for social interaction, are already making a significant impact at Armijo High, Fairfield High, Rodriguez High, and Sem Yeto.
The after-school programs, known as the Royals Center, Falcon Center, Mustang Center, and Yeti Center, provide students with a variety of opportunities to enhance their learning and personal growth. Students can engage in tutoring sessions, join clubs, participate in workshops, and explore new interests, all while building valuable life skills like time management, communication, and problem-solving.
At Armijo High School, the Royals Center has quickly become a hub of activity. "We are incredibly thankful to our Armijo High School community for coming together to create such a successful and fun after-school program," said Principal Powell. "We're excited to see this program continue to grow and serve our amazing Royal community!"
Rodriguez High School Principal Kristen Cherry shared her enthusiasm as well, stating, "We love that so many students are taking advantage of this opportunity, and we are super excited that there is a dedicated program and space to support our students!"
Fairfield High School's after-school program has also seen a strong start. "We are super excited to offer this additional resource to support our students," shared Principal Rebecca Campion.
John McMorris, Principal at Sem Yeto, expressed his excitement about the program: "The after-school program serving Sem Yeto students is a smashing success. Students have a safe, vibrant environment to receive academic assistance, social-emotional support, and have fun at the same time. This is a much-needed and appreciated resource for many of our students. The staff is amazing and supportive! A fabulous addition to our campus."
These programs run Monday through Friday, with specific hours tailored to each school's schedule, offering students the chance to engage in meaningful activities beyond the regular school day. Whether it's academic support, exploring new interests, or simply having a place to connect with peers, the after-school programs at Armijo, Fairfield High, Rodriguez High, and Sem Yeto are set to play a vital role in the success of our students this year.
