Fairfield, CA - The Fairfield-Suisun Unified School District (FSUSD) is thrilled to announce the installation and activation of our inaugural Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Stations at Anna Kyle Elementary School. This initiative represents a significant move toward embracing sustainable practices within the district.
The new EV charging stations at Anna Kyle are equipped with two dual-chargers, providing four parking spaces dedicated to electric vehicle users. These installations are part of FSUSD’s broader commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship. Looking ahead, FSUSD has plans to expand this green initiative by adding more charging stations, including four dual-chargers (eight parking spaces) at the Public Safety Academy in the summer of 2025 and two dual-chargers (four parking spaces) at Armijo High School after that.
Paul Speed, FSUSD’s Executive Director of Facilities and Operations, expressed the district’s enthusiasm for this new initiative: “We’re incredibly excited to bring our first EV charging stations online at Anna Kyle Elementary. This project is a key step in our ongoing efforts to promote sustainability across the district. We’re looking forward to expanding these resources to more campuses and making green transportation options more accessible for our staff and community.
To support our staff in adopting eco-friendly transportation options, FSUSD faculty and staff will enjoy a 20% discount on charging fees. To access the discount, faculty and staff should register with their FSUSD email addresses to activate charging sessions.
FSUSD is proud to take this step toward a greener future and looks forward to continuing to enhance our district’s sustainability efforts.
