CMA Graduates

Fairfield-Suisun Adult School is proud to announce the graduation of our first Clinical Medical Assistant for English Learners program. Congratulations to all of our students, their ESL teacher Kenia Macias, and our instructional partners at CALRegional who delivered the medical training.

Students participated in a 12-week English as a Second Language preparation course, followed by a 10-week Medical Assistant training program which culminated in them taking their state certification exams. Their hard work and dedication led to success, and we applaud them for their achievement.

The Medical Assistant for English Learners program is part of a new initiative in Adult Education to provide free short-term career training opportunities for English learners. After the successful completion of the program, Fairfield-Suisun Adult School applied for and was awarded a grant from the Employment Development Department of California, funding the program for the next three years. The Adult School is excited to continue the program this fall, and looks forward to expanding career training opportunities for all students.
