Fairfield, CA - The hardworking students of the English Learner (ELA) Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) Bridge Cohort at Fairfield-Suisun Adult School are celebrating their successful completion of the bridge course and preparing to embark on the next phase of their educational journey at CALRegional.
The ELA CMA Bridge Course, offered by Fairfield-Suisun Adult School, provides students with practical knowledge, vocational skills, and specialized vocabulary essential for a career as a clinical medical assistant. This unique program is tailored to assist English learners in acquiring the necessary language proficiency and study skills required for success in the Certified Medical Assistant program.
The ELA CMA Bridge students began their journey in November 2023 and concluded their bridge course on February 29th, marking an important milestone in their educational endeavors. Now, equipped with the requisite language and study skills, they are poised to commence their studies at CALRegional on March 18th.
Kenia Macias, Teacher of the ELA CMA Bridge Course, expressed pride in the students' achievements, stating, "We are very proud of the ELA CMA Bridge students. They work tirelessly to acquire the necessary language, study, and soft skills to move on to the CALRegional program. They have the drive to be successful in whatever they set their mind to.
