Fairfield, CA - The Mary Bird Early Childhood Education Center celebrated Week of the Young Child™ (WOYC) with a series of activities promoting early learning, children, and their families. The event took place from April 3-6, 2023, and featured various hands-on activities that encourage movement, artistic expression, and collaboration.
The students at Mary Bird Early Childhood Education Center participated in musical performances, art projects, and parent engagement gatherings. These activities helped to reinforce the importance of early learning and its impact on children's development. They also fostered a sense of community among the students, parents, and district staff.
The week culminated in a lively performance by the students on Thursday, April 6, in which they used sign language and sang "The World is a Rainbow." The performance was attended by parents and district staff who gathered to enjoy the students' talents and celebrate their hard work.
"Early childhood education is crucial for the development of young children. We are proud to celebrate the Week of the Young Child and the important role that early learning plays in shaping the future of our community," said Anna Mansker, Principal of Mary Bird Early Childhood Education Center
