Fairfield, CA - The Fairfield-Suisun Unified School District (FSUSD) Governing Board is pleased to announce the approval of the employment agreement for Superintendent Jennifer Sachs at their Regular Governing Board meeting on April 18, 2024.
The Governing Board approved the employment agreement, solidifying Ms. Sachs' position as Superintendent of FSUSD. This decision follows the Board's previous unanimous approval of her appointment at the Special Governing Board meeting held on March 28, 2024.
The approved employment agreement includes a three-year term with a beginning salary of $270,000. It shall commence on May 1, 2024, and continue through June 30, 2027.
Board President Bethany Smith expressed confidence in Ms. Sachs' leadership, stating, “The Governing Board is excited to welcome our new superintendent, Jennifer Sachs, to FSUSD. We are confident that her extensive experience and dedication to educational excellence will propel our schools to new heights. We look forward to working collaboratively to ensure the success of every student."
Jennifer Sachs has 28 years of experience in public education, rising from an instructional aide to positions such as teacher, coordinator, principal, and Director of Curriculum and Instruction. In her most recent role at the Mt. Diablo Unified School District, she led the educational services department for over 28,500 students across various levels and programs.
